Soil PH
Soil PH
'Soil pH' indicates the acidity or alkalinity of soil. A soil of pH 7 is considered neutral. Thus, soil with a pH of less than 7.0 is acid, whereas soil with a pH greater than 7.0 is alkaline. Ideal pH for most vegetable crops is between 5.5 and 8.0. Nutrient deficiencies and toxicities can occur when pH falls below 5.5 (acid) or above 8.0 (alkaline)
